Columbus Circle was designed by William P. Eno, a pioneer in road safety and traffic control. It is the cornerstone of the Eighth Avenue entrance to Central Park Merchant's Gate. Other attractions at Columbus Circle include the famed statue of Christopher Columbus, the Time Warner Center, The Shops at Columbus Circle, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
